I would not bother January 27, 2008 Reviewer:  Mom of Two Boys (O'Fallon, IL)  See all my reviews >

Tried this one for a couple days. Not happy with it. You have to turn it up all the way to hear, and then you get the static/buzz noise. There were a few times also that it did not even pick up my son at all when he was crying.

Work great for us February 9, 2009 Reviewer:  HRudow See all my reviews >

I don't have a home phone so I don't have as much electronic interference as most other people do. That being said, these work great for us! There is no static and they are very sensitive so I hear even the slightest sounds.

It didn't work for us January 31, 2009 Reviewer:  Chandler's Mommy See all my reviews >

This monitor didn't work in every room in our home. There was no static from the unit plugged into our bedroom, but any time we plugged it into any other room there was tons of static and feedback. I did some research and read that any monitor will give off static if it is on the same frequency as your cordless phone. I checked the frequency of our phones and went out and bought a different monitor that works on a different frequency, and it works wonderfully! My suggestion to anyone buying any baby monitor is to check the frequency on your cordless phone first, and then buy a monitor with a higher frequency.

Static! July 28, 2009 Reviewer:  Unhappy customer See all my reviews >

From the day we got them all the lights came on because the static was so loud! I couldn't hear if my baby was crying or not because of the static. I couldn't even keep it on because all I heard was static. Total waste of money. Also don't throw out the packaging until you've' opened and tried, my mistake.

Awful!!!!!! January 8, 2009 Reviewer:  jc4duckie "jc4duckie" (Oklahoma)  See all my reviews >

The best thing I can say about these baby monitors is that they give you a temp. read out of the room so you know if it is to hot or to cold. As far as monitors go they [...]!!!!They always have interference and it gets worse if you lay anything next to them or walk past them. You can't hear anything but static. They are awful. I am just glad we got them as gifts and didn't waste our money on them!!!!

I Love it! July 25, 2009 Reviewer:  Elizabeth's Mom (Troy, Ohio)  See all my reviews >

I have been using the older version of this monitor for over 2 years now. One of the receivers has JUST stopped working. But I'm pretty sure it was due to me dropping it mulitple times. I just bought this new updated version. I keep one receiver plugged in in our bed room upstairs and one downstairs in the kitchen. I have batteries in the one downstairs so I can unplug it and take it outside with me. The great thing about the new one is that it works with the old monitor. I'm not even using the new monitor and second receiver yet since the old ones are still working fine. I've NEVER had a problem with static and the range is great. I can go out in my backyard or garage and still hear my daughter roll over in her crib!

Great for the price. May 3, 2009 Reviewer:  David W. Crawford "Davemman" Real Name (Ttulsa, OK)  See all my reviews >

The temp. feature is great to have. The night light can be handy at times. The battery life on the base is poor but good on the receiver, I tend to use the power cord usually. I get a slight buzz at about 20ft at full vol. but anything past 40ft is noisy. The indicator lights are handy if I am watching TV. Overall I am happy with the unit. I do recommend getting the one with 2 receivers, one for the bedroom and one for the family room, that way you can just leave them plugged in and not have to worry about batteries

Random static, but works November 29, 2009 Reviewer:  Cyber Shopper "Renyel" (WA state)  See all my reviews >

I didn't get the expensive monitors I registered for, so I bought this set for the price. The temp feature is great and we don't really use the nightlight feature. We keep one in the living room on the same floor level as the baby's room and one in our room upstairs. The living room one started with the static noise first, sometimes going away if you adjust where the cord is or shut it off for awhile. It's weird, you walk by it and it gets louder. Or if you are in a certain area in the room, it will get louder. The one in our bedroom also got staticky for a couple of days but after repositioning the cord around some items on our dresser, it has gone away. As far as sensitivity to baby noise, I like it. You don't always want to hear every little movement. When he starts cooing to himself, I can hear him. I guess it would annoy more paranoid parents. We are going to use ours until they quit working or if the static issue gets out of hand. In short, if you don't have much money to spend, these monitors do what they are supposed to do.

Awful November 18, 2009 Reviewer:  D and Mas's Mom "Jen S." (Florida)  See all my reviews >

I bought this monitor for my second baby, since I had the same brand for my first. I am hearing impaired, but my husband has excellent hearing. I can NOT hear my son unless he is wailing (and neither can my husband) I even put it in his crib when he was a newborn, the lights hardly ever show. I wish I had kept the package and reciept. :(

Good idea, but too much static! November 3, 2009 Reviewer:  Military Mommy (WI)  See all my reviews >

We love the temperature feature, as we were able to figure out that it was too warm in our daughter's crib, and that was part of why she wasn't sleeping well!

Main problem is the static that almost everyone is reporting. Our room is next door to our daughter's, and shares a common wall. If we turn up the volume very loud at all, there is too much static to be able to sleep, or honestly to even hear her over it! We have to keep the volume at about 1/3 of the max, and we can hear her if she starts to fuss a bit. Can't hear every noise, but enough to hear when she gets upset.

There are only two channels to choose from, and we had the problem on both channels. We also have no home phone and no wireless internet...

We can't return it because we (stupidly) threw away the packaging, so we are going to keep the base for the temperature and night light features (nice!) and get a different one for the actual monitoring.
